NEWBORN SESSION | CAIN FAMILY | KEWAUSKUM, WI

When Rachel reached out to me to photograph her family, I instantly knew that the Cain Family would be a great fit. Rachel cried and laughed at the same time on the phone about how scary it is to be a mom, and how excited she is to have these fleeting moments captured in an authentic, real and honest way but also that feels chic and makes her feel confident after having a baby. At newborn sessions, I recommend new parents to plan for about one to two hours of time together, but never rush the session to get certain shots because babies run on their own schedule, need multiple diaper changes and bottle feedings. I also recommend to plan for an activity that has brought you joy in this new chapter of life - for the Cain family that was planning for me to be there while they gave Allister a bath in the sink. Rachel was too afraid to use the newborn bathtub, so the three of them had been giving sink baths - how sweet is that? I absolutely loved being part of the Cain family for a morning.
